Ceramika Artystyczna Boleslawiec Bunzlauer Polish Stoneware originated as a folk art in the early 1800's. It was crafted in the German province of Silesia, now part of Poland. Today in a small village in Poland, skilled artisans still individually handcraft and handpaint each piece with the same pride and care as was used over a century ago.
Excellent craftsmanship is still a hallmark of Ceramika Artystyczna Boleslawiec and Bunzlauer Polish Stoneware carries on this lovely folkart tradition today. Each piece is an individual creation, so no two pieces are exactly alike.
The Signature Collection offers an exquisite handpainted ceramic that combines rare beauty with durability and ease of care. Each piece is a handcrafted work of art, christened by a single artist's touch, adding elegance to any setting.
Created from white clay and fired in kilns at temperatures of 2000 degrees fahrenheit using lead-free glazes, this stoneware is extremely durable, will not crack or chip easily, and withstands daily use with ease. It is safe for use in the oven, microwave, and dishwasher. It is also non-toxic and impervious to abrasives.
